The 2008 Advanced Auto Parts World of Outlaws has had one
of the slowest starts to their season. They have had to
deal with 3 Rain Outs and now the cancellation of Bulls
Gap, Tennessee, on the 14th & 15th March.
The Dirt Inc. Team has used this time off to their advantage.
Chad and his Crew have been settling into their new shop
and a place to call home in Brownsburg, Indiana. The team
will use their new shop as a central point throughout the
year. "Not being able to get back to the shop in Washington
very often, it will be really nice to have a home away from
home," explained Chad.
Mean while in doing all this, Chad and his team are still
eager to go racing. So, the Dirt Inc. Team have found some
local 410 shows to race in the next few weeks, starting
this Friday night. The Team will race Friday at Selinsgrove
Speedway, PA, Saturday at Lincoln Speedway, PA and Sunday
at Williams Grove Speedway.
Chad is looking forward to racing these 3 nights. He says,
"The competition in Pennsylvania is very strong."
"We are hoping racing this weekend we can build on
driver and team experience, as well as communication."
"It's also a good chance to try some things that we
might not do on a sanctioned outlaw event."
It will be the first time for the team to visit Selinsgrove
and Lincoln. "Ambitious and optimistic, we are looking
forward to racing on some new turf. I'm sure we can use
what we learn this weekend to regular competition later
this season, and just getting to race of course is important,"
replied Chad.
With weather still a concern in the early season, the team
gambles traveling to Pennsylvania with snow just now leaving
the ground. "The chance to improve our team and get
some laps in the early part of the season is real important.
Hopefully the weather isn't a factor and we get a few good
nights in." noted Chad.
Stay posted to see if we beat the weather, and follow the
Dirt Inc. Team all the way back to the next World of Outlaw
race at I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Mo. on April 5.
