February 11, 2008 - DIRT Inc's 2008 World of Outlaws sprint season got off to a rather rocky start as the best they could muster the first three nights of racing was an 8th place finish in the B-Main on Friday night. They followed that up with 2 straight 10th place finishes in the B-Main on Saturday and Sunday.

Obviously this is not the type of finishes we were expecting, but with over 40 cars on hand all three nights in Barberville, Florida, there were some very well funded cars on hand which put DIRT Inc. behind the eight ball as far as sponsorship money. And almost all of the teams showing up for these Florida races will indeed be at the 2008 Knoxville Nationals.

There's still going to be a slight learning curve for DIRT Inc. and driver Chad Hillier as they are very young still. This almost replicated the start this team had to the season in 2007. Chad finds himself 32nd in points after the first three races of 2008 heading into the February 16th race at Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, MS. But even after a tough start to the 2007 World of Outlaws season, DIRT Inc. and Chad Hillier fought their way back to a 20th place points finish and a walk across the podium at the season ending banquet.

Meanwhile, Dion Hindi and the HRE team remained at home for the start of the 2008 World of Outlaws sprint season . Dion's team will take to the track for the first time on March 1 as they meet up with the World of Outlaws series in Phoenix, Az at Manzanita Speedway. Unfortunately they will have to wait until April to continue their quest for more World of Outlaws points and the Knoxville Raceway season opener. HRE will be running a limited World of Outlaws season in Arizona, Missouri, Ohio, Iowa, South Dakota, Illinois, Kansas, North Dakota and New Mexico as well as running for points at Knoxville.

Deavers Racing is putting the finishing touches on their new J&J sprint car in preparation for his 2008 points season at Knoxville, which will also include some World of Outlaws races in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Mike Deavers is anxious to get his season underway as there will be a special announcement at a later date concerning the unveiling of Mike's new car .
